OUR STORY
Le Mini Macaron first began with a small box containing a macaron making kit back in 2014. The next four months consisted of perfecting the perfect recipe. Today we are well established in the North East appearing at many food festivals and markets. Our unique bespoke macarons have proved a huge hit not only for weddings but also commercial ventures.
OUR HISTORY
Le Mini Macaron, based in Newcastle Upon Tyne, is run by mother and daughter, Gillian and Joanne. We both come from a hospitality and cooking background. Gillian is a home economist who ran a childrens cookery company; promoting healthy eating from a young age. Joanne comes from a hospitality background working her way up in restaurants to a management level. We both love to cook and try out new recipes and flavours in the kitchen.
OUR LOCATIONS
The Le Mini Macaron bakery is located just outside of Newcastle centre, in the i8 Enterprise Centre, NE4 6UL. We are not a shop – so collections and appointments are by prior arrangement only.
You can also find us at Newcastle Quayside Market every Sunday, and Jesmond Food Market on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month. Make sure to be following our Facebook and Instagram for the most up-to-date information about where else we pop up!

We ordered a macaron tower for our wedding instead of a cake and it was a jackpot! Le Mini Macaron have been amazing, they responded quickly and patiently answered all my questions. The macarons themselves looked and tasted absolutely amazing, they were a massive hit!
Ordered for my daughter’s baby shower, absolutely fabulous as always, had them from markets before, but never for a party. Loved how Gillian and Joanne helped me with the colours to complement my colour scheme.
My husband and I have just shared the box of 6 Macaron’s that I collected this morning and they were absolutely INCREDIBLE! We will definitely be ordering in the future! Can’t recommend Le Mini Macaron enough!
